Fx has fx'ed off

In a recent posting, Matt Chotin has announced that Adobe will not be using the controversial Fx-prefix in Flex, just as soon as they can back the change out.

This is great news.

Performance gotcha in AIR's local database

Today I was writing what looked like fairly simple code to persist ~60 items in a local database using AIR, and then load them back up at application start-up.
