If I hadn't been there to organise paying the deposit for our new house, I would have said something. Highlights of the last half hour or so include 'the system being down' and reverting to 'the old system' that 'we used yesterday too'.
Top of the security laughs was the old 'get the password out of the drawer by the computer' gag, followed hotly by reading out., loudly and clearly so the whole bank can hear, your name, branch ID number and employee number to 'support services'.
Plus it took the full half hour to sign my name once to close an account and for them to fill in a ridiculous amount of paper work. You'd think no one has ever used a TT to pay a house deposit before !
