Many awards - great media coverage too
talks up Gartner review saying that CF use should be expanded, was previously 'contain' and don't use for new projects.
Evans Data Corporation's developer poll - numbers flat in '04 and '05, up tick '06 to over 600k, steady increase till '07, then CF8 comes out in '08 and now over 778k developers. Tripling in 3 years ! ColdFusion is not dead :-)

Submitted by Falken on

I'm please to say I was invited to join the Flex SDK Community Committee, where you can find some of the best known figures in the Flex community like Ben Clinkinbeard, Tink and Doug McCune.
Together we represent some of the most visible Flex users and companies, including such names as Universal Mind and Effective UI.

The Flex SDK team talk

Well, that was... manic :-)

There was, I think, the general admission that things could be improved - Adobe being more transparent and talking more things through in public, for instance.
It was also acknowledged that it's probably too late to try and get your pet feature into Flex 4, but it was said they'll pick up on the speed that submitted patches are accepted. Being able to submit patches is a great way to get started with a new project, because you'll normally be able to focus on a small set of functionality.
